Before coming to Ohio State Lima, Dawn Starr did her Ph.D. work at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her B.A. from Kenyon College in Ohio and an M.A. in philosophy from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Her main area of research is the philosophy of language. Currently, she works on topics related to the semantics and pragmatics of natural language.
